If you are in Turin, then you must absolutely try the restaurant that has debunked us throughout our weekend… including the day of returning home.
In Via Piave, very close to turin station Porta Susa is also very close to the center, there is a really very nice place.
The fanfaron restaurant (more like a bistro) is a vintage place, whose walls are literally covered with old photographs and memories of the past. Rustic and aged tables and chairs as well as the whole restaurant that however serves a typical Turin cuisine to lick your mustache.
Having been to Turin in July, the city was quite hot and we could eat in the gazebo outside, on wooden table with paper placets and a lantern.
The bread of the restaurant fanfaron is tasty and soft, made by them and the wine of the house has nothing to envy to the great vintages of piedmontese barrels.
One of the dishes you absolutely have to try is the agnolotti with the three roasts. But plin stuffed with hazelnuts and Toma are also a real specialty.
Then you can not miss in your tastings a piece of history of Piedmontese cuisine, La bagna Caoda, which you can book and the Fanfaron, casereccia and genuine.
]Very convenient is the fixed price menu that includes first second and side dish at the price of 26.00 euros per person.
I think it is a restaurant loved not only by tourists but also by Turinese themselves, both during the work break and in the evening since we found it always full of people.. then the atmosphere is really pleasant, it is intimate and at the same time almost elegant, a perfect style with the city.
Their Facebook page is often updated and we were able to recover for their menu that we post at the end of the post.
