Today we want to offer you in our travel section a very particular review of a tool that could become almost indispensable if you love to immortalize every moment of your trip, especially if you try your hand at videomaking as well. The tool we are talking about is the SMOOTH 4 stabilizer of the Zihyun company.
You would like to be able to edit a nice video of your last trip, you only have your mobile phone available, shoot many, many clips of unforgettable moments that you would like to share with everyone but… do you realize that your clips are too moved,!!! A seasickness flicker, bad focus and… let’s not talk about zooming! Here the stabilizer will be able to solve these “small” problems in a very satisfactory way.
What is the Smooth 4 stabilizer for?
It is a 3-axis smartphone stabilizer that compensates for all vibrations, oscillations and various tremoli on the horizontal, vertical and rear axis.
What else can the SMOOTH 4 stabilizer do?
In addition to helping you make much more precise videos, the Smooth 4 stabilizer will help you to realize also very nice effects: from the classic slow motion and time lapse, moving shooting, 180° Overview, 3X3 Overview, Multiple Exposure, Long Exposure, Vertigo effect and then many very nice cinematic effects.
How do I use the Smooth 4 stabilizer?
Simply mount your mobile phone to the stabilizer (rest assured because the closure is really reliable) and connect it to its specific app via bluetooth; from now on you will command the camera remotely, using the keys on the stabilizer, such as the one for recording or the crank for zooming or focusing.
What do I find in the package?
Inside the package you will also find a very comfortable mini-tripod and the USB cable for charging.
How do I charge and how long does the Smooth 4 stabilizer battery last?
It charges with a simple USB cable, just like a mobile phone, and the battery can last even a full day, if you turn it off every now and then between takes. the battery of your mobile phone may last a little less instead instead we advise you to turn off 4g and wi-fi if necessary and leave only the bluetooth that connects the two devices on.
But is there anything wrong with this stabilizer?
There is nothing particularly negative to report to you, only we advise against using the function to take photos… quality didn’t particularly excite us.
Okay, maybe I convinced myself, but… how much does it cost and where do I buy it?
We purchased the product on AMAZON and the cost is in our opinion really right (140,00 euros) considering the excellent value for money.
Here we attach a video made in Menorca and one made in Rome, shot entirely with iPhone 7 and Smooth 4 stabilizer, edited with Adobe Premiere.
