Our beautiful Marrakech has remained in our hearts and will remain in yours too, we are sure.
How much we missed it when we left it, because Marrakech is unique, Marrakech is an atmosphere, it is a mood, it is a play of lights and colors, it is confusion on the streets, it is the smell of argan, cous cous and mint. In this little guide to Marrakech, we give you some tips to fall in love with it.
Getting around in Marrakech
For us, the best way to get around Marrakech but also outside the city was the taxi.
You can negotiate prices with the taxi driver and you can ask him to become your personal driver for the duration of your stay.
We recommend that you also take a taxi to and from the airport, always in negotiation with taxi drivers. Hotel transfers which are very expensive.

Where and what to eat in Marrakech
There is one thing that we would like to advise you first of all:taste every dish of Moroccan cuisine! Do not be prejudiced, order every typical dish and let yourself be surprised by the spices, colors and cooking of each food.
Restaurants in Marrakech are very beautiful also aesthetically.
We found three restaurants in Marrakech that were really beautiful and where we ate really well.
Let’s talk about costs: the prices are always quite affordable, for a complete menu we talk about accounts ranging from 20 to 35 euros per person.
As you have already read on many sites, do not drink running water, always buy it bottled.
We have not eaten from any stall in the Medina because the same locals have advised against it, so we turn the advice to you.
Don’t forget to sip mint tea at sunset from one of the cafe terraces in Jeema el Fna square.
Where to stay in Marrakech
That’s one thing we are convinced of, you absolutely must stay in the Medina of Marrakech, inside a Riad.
Do you want to know why and understand what a Riad is? we explain it HERE.
General advice: make sure you never walk around the city by yourself after nine in the evening and make sure that the taxi takes you as close as possible to the entrance of your riad.
