In Formentera we dined at one of the most famous restaurants on the island: the Can Carlos restaurant,a high-end restaurant known for its striking environment, the superior cuisine and a concept of sophistication, exclusivity and hospitality signed by the Brescia entrepreneur Francesco Manzoni.
The Can Carlos restaurant is located in Cala Saona, on the ashes of an old restaurant that the Italian entrepreneur found abandoned in 2000.A place not too prominent, which gives it an additional sense of exclusivity and confidentiality.
The garden of Can Carlos,where we dined, was really beautiful, impossible not to be amazed: candles and lights, colorful flowers, wooden tables and a small private with dim lights.
Part of the kitchen is exposed. The ham of the highest quality is cut in front of everyone’s eyes.
The waiters are attentive and kind, the service is really of a high quality. The customer is the focus of all the staff who constantly worry that everything is perfect.
Great dishes, even the simplest ones are tasty. We especially enjoyed the decomposed tiramisu which is a joy for the palate, a vest of flavors perfectly in harmony with each other and all of excellent quality.
The choice of wines is also quite wide, many are Italian proud but also yummy slightly sparkling white served as a welcome aperitif.
The bill may be excessive only if you do not consider the level of flow and service.
We recommend at least one evening at the can Carlos restaurant in Formentera especially for a couple who want to enjoy a romantic dinner on thecoolest island in the Balearic Islands.
