Tell the truth, you may have happened during some trip to forget at least one of your cosmetics, maybe one of the indispensable ones. I have often been told that the first solution to this problem was to calmly make a list of the products to be included in the travel beauty case. Obviously the list must be made before you leave and not when you pack your suitcase!
My travel beauty case includes a number of “fixed” products, that is, products that I will not have to use at home, but bought exclusively for departure.
I also looked for products whose sizes were quite “mini” so as not to take up too much space in the beauty case.
After years of mistakes, forgetfulness and experience, I can help you prepare your travel beauty case as best you can.
Here is the list of indispensable products:
Toothbrush and toothpaste
In my opinion, sometimes you have forgotten the toothbrush and this is because you often bring the one home: this means that you brush your teeth before departure and then put it in your suitcase… if you don’t forget! So why not buy one specifically for travel? Buy it and leave it in your beauty case along with a toothpaste that you only need to remember the deadline but it’s usually nice long.
Cleansing milk- make-up-make-up-
I will have forgotten this many times and on time I had to go in search of a perfumery or a supermarket to buy something that would be fine to make me up. Then I found the solution: I bought from Sephora a make-up cream and a small micellar water that I use only on the go and always leave in the beauty case.
Also bring with you a pack of multi-purpose soaked wipes: you can use them to make-up, eliminate makeup smudges etc.
Creams and soaps
Here we meet the famous “samples”,those that usually give in perfumeries or those that we surely sometimes take away as a souvenir from some hotel.
Shampoo
In addition to the classic sample, I recommend bringing with you a dry shampoo (useful especially when moisture continuously soils your hair). Typically the dry shampoo packaging is quite small, perfect to fit into the travel beauty case.
Other essential things I never take away from the beauty case:
- Nail lime
- Scissors (if you don’t put the beauty case in your carry-on luggage)
- Baby pins (believe me are useful for any emergency)
- Cocoa butter, which you can also use for cracking of all kinds
Plus
If you fancy an evening of relaxation you can bring face-hair masks, now there are many brands that offer them in comfortable sachets.
For a beach holiday bring some real aloe gelwith you;
Typically this gel is sold in rather bulky jars or not very small bottles: you just need to buy a smaller container (perhaps one of those made specifically for the plane) and pour a quantity to take with you. Remember that the aloe gel comes to you for sunburn, rashes, dry hair, such as face-hand cream and body… In short, a multi-purpose and aerospace-saving product.
Still you can bring, sachets with sheets soaked in acetone for the nail and(although I still convince you to do the semi-permanent or always use a clear nail polish… imperfections will notice much less)
