Whether you are a test skier or not, do not worry: the slopes of Merano2000 satisfy anyone who wants to spend time at 2000 meters high and surrounded by the whiteness of snow!
For us it was the first time in the snow, so imagine that mix of fear and enthusiasm that we brought with us from the start, indeed since we had known that the Hotel Westend, this time invited us to spend a day in the Sciisitic complex of Merano2000.
How to get to Meran2000
Merano 2000 can be reached very easily from Merano: take bus 1A,from the station or from piazza del Teatro Nuovo, the ticket costs only 1.50. The bus heads right to the cable car, so pick up your ticket and after passing the turnstiles you’ll be directly inside the cable car.
The Cable Car takes you up to the top in a fewminutes, while under you and all around, the landscape becomes more and more snowy and magical.
Slopes and attractions
The ski slopes of Merano2000 are 9, with various levels of difficulty and the tenth is the one dedicated to tobogganing.
The snow park is one of the attractions that attracts and entertains Snowborder and freestylers.
Among other things theALPIN BOB,a fun toboggan on rails that will be a joy for the little ones.
Speaking of children, just outside the cable car, the first area you find is dedicated to them who can have fun and play all day with legions of entertainers.
Walking in the snow
Do you know what you can do if you don’t want to ski or rent a toboggan? Walk!
There are many routes for walks and excursions, just the map, a little legs and a little breath then you just have to follow the signs.
We have chosen, for example, the p anoramic one in theDolomites, which is not exactly easy but is very exciting. The gaze is lost in front of the majesty of the snow-capped peaks and on the road you will find about 4 shelters.
Eat
In fact at Merano2000 there are many shelters and huts and everything will depend a lot on what you decide to do and in which area you will move. We can tell you that we have been
In one of the tallest huts, Malga Waidmann, this is about 2040m and about a 45-minute walk from the cable car. The view from waidmann hut is spectacular, so we recommend putting a blanket on your legs and having lunch on the terrace. At the hut you will find typical dishes, something more classic and children’s menu, as well as a nice selection of wines and of course grappas and hot chocolate.
In Merano2000 we took advantage of the terme+ski pass package that includes:
4 hours on the ski slopes
3 hours at the Merano Thermal Baths
Bathrobe rental
And the price is 45 euros
