We never talked about Instagram, we never talk about it, even though it is practically our “daily bread”,
By the way … do you already follow us on Instagram?
However, we know that the question that many would have liked to ask us (before or after having maligned) is …. how to grow on Instagram?
We have repeatedly reiterated that for our agency work, the blog’s Instagram account is often a “test account” for experiments, before acting on that of our clients.
Not that we don’t care about our profile … but mainly, customers are more imposrtant for us, so the priority is them as well as the safety of their social accounts.
Well, we decided to tell you something about what we believe are the best performing strategies for growing on Instagram, but first … some premises.
“I don’t spend a penny on my instagram profile”
One of the phrases that makes me angry the most! Do you know why? Why you should consider your Instagram profile a sort of showcase in which you show products, services or your blog.
Instagram replaces TV today like most social networks.
Instagram does not belong to us, but it belongs to the Facebook group.
Can you explain to me why and with what right, Instagram should at some point give you space, without expecting anything in return?
Maybe because you create content? Ok, but why and for whom do you create them? And above all, what is the purpose?
If your answer is fame, well ok …
If you want to earn money from this very difficult job …. then the situation is different.
Ask yourself a question: how do you want to make money?
I don’t think only with small collaborations as I don’t think you just want to travel the world hosted here and there without putting a penny in your pocket.
If you have a clear idea of how to make money, if you create and publish content regularly, then maybe you should start perceiving your blog or Instagram account, a personal brand.
Brand, a word that embodies the term INVESTMENT!
Perceiving yourself as a brand and investing
From the moment you open an account with the purpose of earning you have already started investing, probably without even realizing it:
You have invested time in creating content and building relationships.
You have invested money in travel, facilities, more or less expensive photographic equipment and then … hosting, domain, programs and apps for photo editing.
- What should you still invest in?
Training courses that often do not cost exactly 50 euros or even 300. - Ads
- Other means of investment both economically and in terms of time
What works to grow on Instagram?
As much as they tell you that … content is the king, to date viral content is a rarity; many copy viral content that originates or is spread from accounts with a really important following.
And I’m sorry to see some really cool content (not including horrors of photoshop mistaken for creativity) sitting there gathering dust in the hopes of it going viral.
You have already heard the web experts say “Instagram penalizes us because it wants us to sponsor!”, Well you are right (back to the topic that Instagram hosts us).
Ads are a serious matter though! They aren’t kind of apowerlike for photos that have gone this way and so.
Ads must help us reach a very high number of people to whom sooner or later we must seem “familiar”.
This is why a well done Ads one could remain “on” even two / three months.
And what still works? The shoutouts (or reposts too)! But with all due respect … not those you do among yourselves, little ones account. We are talking about pages with thousands and millions of followers, highly targeted that guarantee the arrival and interaction of people who are really interested in you.
But I’m sorry to say … this also has a cost and not only that, your photos must be considered valid!
Finally, Instagram reels. We personally don’t like them:
- They are the humble version of tiktok
- they are often used as a substitute for stories or very simple videos
but the truth is that Instagram likes them and rewards those who use them regularly by including them in their feed
And but Ninjalitics( italian platform to analyze instagram account) says …
What? What does your Instagram Bible say? The truth is that you often get too involved in what is super inflated and trendy.
I’ll tell you a secret … do you know that in the heyday of bots, some of them were set up in such a way as to evade the analysis systems of Ninjalitics?
Why not try to find different (and also very expensive) analysis tools before taking certain metrics for granted? I think about Iconsquare, Facebook karma or Pulsar)
in a world of courses …
We have never sold or sponsored any courses, when we were asked to do one our answer was “is not enough the rabbish out there?”
We anticipate that the next course on Instagram launched by the blogger on duty will talk about:
- Bio
- Target
- Insight
- Interact with users
all new stuff right? XD
The truth is that if we decided to take a course it would be guided by you …
why don’t you write us in the comments what you really would like to read, what you would really like to study in a course on Instagram and also how much would you be willing to pay?
