In these weeks away we talked about our trip to Crete, so we decided to give you an infographic and a list of ten things to do absolutely in Crete, to enjoy this experience at its best: places, food, activities, all simple things but that you will always take with you when you think back to CretaVivete
the Capital Hiraklion both day and evening. Visit every corner of this city to discover the hecticest part of Cretan life, eat in seafood restaurants, walk the streets, and shop. Have hearty breakfasts at the bars of the picturesque alleys you’ll find if you delve into the oldest part. In the evening, enjoy strolls through souvenir shops and discover the trendiest lounge bars and nightclubs in cretan nightlife.
Guided
up to the pink beach of Elafonisi. Take the most beautiful photos on the pink sand and dive with your eyes open into the crystal clear sea of this beach. I recommend that you do not give in to the temptation to bring pink sand with you: just as it is right that both the Cretans are very jealous of this beach, formed over time and do not forget that, for example in Italy it is forbidden and in any case it would be a strong lack of respect, nature does not belong to us.
Drink
a shot at least of Raki, after the meal or in the evening but I recommend do not exaggerate because it has a very high alcohol content.
Explore
Balos, where the currents meet and a white Sand tongue separates them. The journey to get to this place will be quite complicated both by land and sea but really… marvel at the wild and rushing nature.
Visit
the palace of Chnossos and be amazed at the immortality of history. Cretan culture has been fundamental for the development of civilization: connoisseurs of the sea, experts in agriculture, admirers of mosaics and refined painting, precursors of fashion, the Cretans were an example for many civilizations of the past and around the Palace of Cnossos, they feared myths and legends.
Wear
the mask and dive fearlessly to discover the Cretan sea. Colorful fish and corals that the Mediterranean sea jealously preserves await you; do not miss this aspect of the island at all in the world.
Relax
without any remorse or guilt to Agia pelagia. Here is one of ten things to do that many will like; Drink a mojito looking at the emerald sea, indulge in the breeze that characterizes this bay and let the sun brown your skin (with sunscreen of course!) Watch the sunrise and sunset, rent a jet ski or eat a nice Greek salad at one of the little restaurants overlooking the sea.. in short, relax!
Enjoy
in Hersonisson’s unbridled and transgressive life. Even if you’re not a lovers of confusion and discos, spend at least one night between music, lights, sounds, and a few squeals of those who may have drunk a drop too much. The Cretan nightlife, contrary to what is believed, has nothing to envy to those of cities most famous for its nightlife.
Eat
a Greek yogurt and even more than one… You can give up feta, Greek salad and moussaka, even if you don’t know what you’remissing, but no, Greek yogurt you absolutely have to try it, maybe with a different seasoning every day.
Walks
in Retimo and spend at least a day in this city from morning to night. Discover and visit as much as you can and stay late, you will be amazed at the hidden wonders and harmony that reigns in the streets. Choose this city also to buy postcards, souvenirs and other nice things that you will take with you on your return.
