Confused and fragmented news, constantly changing regulations? Let’s clarify and find out how to travel to Greece in 2021.
Departure from Italy to Greece in 2021
If you intend to spend your holidays in Greece in 2021, starting from Italy, prepare these documents:
- Passaport
- Boarding Pass;
- Covid 19 Documentation;
- PLF;
Covid 19 Documentation
By Covid 19 documentation we mean that you will need to bring with you:
- Green pass (if you have received it): the green pass must refer to the complete vaccination.
if you have received both doses of Vaccine (excluding Single-dose ones of course), the green pass you received will be valid and you should not do any test
ATTENTION: for the green pass to be definitively valid, you must have taken the second dose of vaccine at least 14 days before departure.
Keep in mind that, after the second dose of vaccine, you will receive the green pass the next day but to leave you have to wait at least 14 days!
If you do not have the green pass or you have the one that certifies only the first dose of vaccination then you must bring your choice:
PCR test: this test must be performed within 72 hours of arrival in Greece
Quick Test: this test must be performed within 48 hours of arrival in Greece
ATTENTION: you don’t have to do both, choose one of the two but calculate the times well
Let’s see now to the PLF
The travel news is the PLF (Passanger Locator Form)and is a MANDATORY document for traveling to Greece in 2021 and throughout the European Union.
Non potete partire senza PLF!

You can only fill in one PLF if you are traveling with minors or with a travel companion or group.
Remember that you will also have to enter all their details.

YOU MUST COMPLETE THE PLF WITHIN 24 HOURS OF ARRIVAL IN GREECE

IMPORTANT!!! Greece 2021 what happens when I arrive at the airport
There is one very important thing to know: when you arrive in Greece, whether you are vaccinated or not,you can be chosen for another quick test at the airport.
Should it prove positive, you will be at the expense of the Greek government and will stay in a 4 or 5 star hotel, receiving all the necessary tampons.
Greece: travel by sea
The above documentation (PLF, Green pass or covid test) will also be required to move at sea.
However, if you travel from the Cyclades to the Cyclades by ferries, you must register on this site and fill out the form:
To move between the islands, if you do not have the Green pass, a so-called Self Test will also suffice, a Covid test that you can buy at the pharmacy for 10 euros.
Return from Greece to Italy
To go home after a holiday in Greece you will have to fill in the PLF again on this site:
https://euplf.eu/it/eudplf-it/index.html
Remember to always complete it within 24 hours before arriving in Italy.
In addition to the PLF, to leave you will need the green pass but if you do not have it you will have to present the Negative result of a Quick Test carried out within 48 hours of arrival in Italy.
If you have not had the opportunity to take the test, Italy offers a new solution:
- before leaving, you must report your arrival in Italy to the LOCAL HEALTH AUTHORITY responsible for your region;
- once you arrive you have to quarantine yourself for 10 days;
- After 10 days of self-isolation, you must carry out a quick test or a PCR to make sure you are negative for Covid.
We specify that in our opinion this decision of our country is totally unsafe and we STRONGLY invite you to find a way to make sure you are negative about Covid before getting on a plane together with other people, including children and old people.
