Perhaps you have already heard a lot about it, but among the many articles that you will find on Google, we hope you will also find our dedicated to Tsigrado Beachuseful.
Tsigrado beach is certainly the wildest beach in Milos, but also one of the most beautiful in our opinion.
It is a cove that is completely sheltered from the wind, with small caves and clear blue water like that of a swimming pool.
The beach is very small, which is why we recommend that you do at least one “early up” in the morning.
Try to arrive there around 7: 00 / 7:30 in the morning to enjoy it in complete tranquility.
Finding Tsigrado Beach using Google Maps will be very simple and on the way you will also find all the information you need.
You will understand that you have arrived when you will find yourself in front of a sign that warns you that“the descent is at your own risk”
We already tell you that this sign could really scare you, but we can assure you that every day there are many people who decide to face this adrenaline-filled adventure to reach the beach.
After having covered a small descent of soil, sand and rocks you will be in front of a very small crack in the cliff, on which a ladder and ropes are tied.
In our opinion, although the beach is quite wild, there is still a minimum of maintenance as the ropes are new and not worn by salt as you might think and the same goes for the solid and resistant stairs.
Once you have descended the first ladder (do not be frightened by the fact that the rungs are a bit distant from each other), you will have to continue the journey holding on to a rope.
Stay with your back to the sea and continue the descent without ever letting go of the rope and putting strength on your arms.
More you keep the rope taut, easier it will be to descend safely and not slip on sand and rocks.
Of course, always look where to put your feet at each step.
After the descent which is rather short, you will face a new and final ladder.
Do not leave the rope until you are with your feet on the first rung of the ladder (also because the small wooden platform is really slippery).
Once you are on the first rung, change the rope, you will find it next to this last ladder.
Take your time on this staircase and when you have your feet on the golden sand, turn around to admire the beautiful Tsigrado Beach which will seem even more beautiful after the effort made to get there.
For the more anxious … do not worry about the ascent because it will be much simpler than the descent: the important thing will once again be to hold on to the tightrope and find the moment when the road is clear and no one is descending at the same time.
