Christmas in New York is a bit everyone’s dream, it has long been for us too and in this December 2021 we finally managed to make it come true.
You feel like on the set of one of the classic Christmas movies, from “Alone at home” to “Miracle on 34th Street“: the lights that decorate the buildings dance in time to the music, the decorated shop windows that tell happy ending stories of reindeer, good children and white snow, the skating rinks show a show of spins and slips.
Are you ready to go? So prepare your smartphone or your camera and mark the best Christmas photos spot in New York.
Dyker Heights
The Brooklyn neighborhood where the houses are so decorated and illuminated that it feels like being in a movie. Tin soldiers, snowmen, gingerbread men of gigantic dimensions stand out in the gardens and on the entrance doors.
The most exaggerated house? Surely that of the Spata family which together with the Polizzotto family gave life to this “sparkling” tradition.
Watch our reel on Instagram and discover the story of the illuminated houses of Dyker Heights in the caption, you will discover that once again there is the hand of the Italians!
Rockefeller center
A classic of Christmas in New York, with its gigantic illuminated tree and the ice skating rink that offers a show of lights and music even for non-skaters.
By the way, if you want to skate likea local, book on the official website of Rockefeller Center.
Trump Tower
Well we have included in the list of the best places to take Christmas photos in New York, even the building of the former President with the huge gift boxes under the tree right in front of the scenic artificial waterfall. Admission to Trump Tower is free.

The Maxi giant balls in the fountain have been on Avenue of the Americas since 2016 and are one of the quintessential installations for Christmas in New York!
Zuccotti park
This is what used to be called Liberty Plaza Park, just one block from Ground Zero. This park has a kind of enchanted forest, where the trees are completely covered with golden lights. The effect is truly spectacular and will make you indulge in the creation of your photos.
Plaza Hotel
One of the most famous historic hotels in New York, you will remember it for being the set of one of the Christmas films par excellence, the second part of “Alone at home”.
Kevin had a lot of fun at thePlaza hotel(don’t say you didn’t envy him as children) and in the corridors of the Plaza he also meets Donald Trump (am I wrong or is it already the second time we talk about Trump in this article?)
You can freely enter the hotel lobby to take your photos and don’t forget to take a look at the decorations of Pulitzer Fountain as well.
Radio City Music Hall
Although this is already an iconic place in itself, with the illuminated Christmas tree and yellow taxis whizzing past it, it becomes the perfect backdrop for the most glamorous and even a little vintage postcard on your Christmas in New York.
