Let’s start with a classic. The Empire State Building is the ultimate New York observatory.
Before you get to the actual observatory, you’ll relive the construction of the Empire (which took just 14 months), the great movies that featured it, actors, kings, queens and other important people who, like you, were there to see New York from above.
On the 86th floor you’ll have a truly breathtaking view of New York City.
Stepping outside, you’ll hear the true “voice” of New York City: police, ambulance and fire sirens soaring to the sky, from whichever side of the tower.
During December, there is also a small Christmas corner set up on the 86th floor terrace for even more magical photos.

You can also go up to the 102nd floor of the Empire for an additional fee.
You’ll really be on the highest point of the tower and you’ll be able to watch the City That Never Sleeps, 360°, from beautiful glass windows.

An observatory that opened in October 2021, the Summit offers an experience that truly surprised and impressed us.
Ascend to the 92nd floor equipped with skates and sunglasses and you will find yourself in a beautiful space where glass and mirrors merge.
This place seems to be made especially for giving vent to your creativity in making photos that we could define really Unique.
The mirrors between the floor and ceiling, reflect sunlight and create beautiful plays of color with an almost psychedelic effect.
Inside the Summit there are many fun (Instagrammable) experiences such as the room with silver balloons flying free in the room, but also the protruding platforms with the transparent floor from which to take breathtaking photos.
Inside the Summit you can also access the terrace from which to make Danny Mayer’s signature aperitif and then, again, the fully transparent outdoor elevators to climb to the top of the building. A truly…adrenaline-pumping experience!
Bar B54
Suggested time: Sunset
It is the highest rooftop bar in New York City! You simply have to book your evening and enjoy a cocktail or a nice glass of wine in front of a fantastic view while, below you, the hectic Times Square continues to run.
This bar is one of the perfect places to see New York from above and also to spend a pleasant evening with friends or meet new people.
The atmosphere is pretty casual and very relaxed.
Prices are also quite affordable: for example, a bottle of 2016 Sauvignon cost us $70.
Remember that reservations are required and can be made on this site: https://www.sevenrooms.com/landing/Bar54
